Photographed by millions, but still breathtaking at first sight.  My memory of Remembrance Day 2014.

We will remember them.

    1. It was amazing at about 9pm last night in a hazy rain. Very crowded, but totally worthwhile.

    1. It was very clear from the wide variety of ages of people in the crowds on Remembrance Day night that it has hit a chord with all people, all ages, all backgrounds. And that is a very good thing.

    1. It was, Nick. The photos capture a lot, but sadly for those able to visit in person, not everything.

  6. It is truly an amazing and inspired tribute. It would almost be worth the price of a plane ticket just to see it,

  7. I wasn't able to visit, but my niece was fortunate enough to do so and she took photos. A spectacular and moving tribute to those who served.

  8. I have been fortunate enough to be present at several Last Post ceremonies at the Menin Gate, including being part of the party laying a wreath, and this certainly looks to have been right up there as a most moving and fitting tribute to all those who lost their lives in the Great War. I too wasn't able to visit, so thanks for sharing your thoughts and pictures.

    1. Quite right, Peter. While I was there, I thought about the members of my own family who fell in the First (and Second) World Wars and how much I hoped that they would appreciate the tribute, the respect and the remembrance.

  10. Plunge Pool Design A plunge pool is a small, shallow pool built for the purpose of lounging, wading and cooling off instead of for swimming and exercising.
